TheVapogant BV is a highly efficient digestate evaporation plant designed to reduce the volume and concentrate digestate from biogas plants. In a vacuum evaporator, the dilute substrate is gently concentrated, whilst the resulting vapour is used in the integrated scrubber with sulphuric acid to produce a high-quality ammonium sulphate solution (ASL) as a marketable, low-emission mineral fertiliser. Compressing the vapour raises the energy level, allowing it to be used to heat the substrate. Reusing the condensation energy creates a self-sustaining cycle that is maintained by electricity and minimal heat input. The result is an evaporation plant with maximum energy efficiency and low operating costs.
