Heating technology for biogas plants
Substrate heat exchangers as tank heaters
WT-SWT-BE Tank Heater
The WT-SWT-BE is a high-performance surface wall heating system designed to provide uniform heating of tanks in biogas plants. A special heating pipe is fixed to the concrete wall in a defined pattern using suitable rails, routed outwards through penetrations and connected to heating manifolds. This ensures that the required base heat is continuously supplied to the digester and the substrate, supporting stable temperature control during biogas plant operation.
Simple installation, even heat distribution
The surface wall heating system utilises the large tank wall as an effective heat transfer surface and introduces the base heat directly into the digester and the substrate. This allows operation at lower flow temperatures, which supports efficient and uniform temperature control. In combination with a suitable agitator arrangement, particularly a paddle agitator, the heat is reliably distributed throughout the substrate. The simple, robust design can be installed by a heating engineer without the need for specialised installation techniques and, thanks to low surface temperatures and good flow conditions, reduces the risk of disruptive deposits on the heating pipes.
