Sepofarm Mobil: Separating slurry at multiple sites

The Sepofarm Mobil is the mobile screw press separator for dairy farmers and machinery cooperatives wishing to carry out separation at multiple locations. It can be quickly assembled and dismantled in just a few simple steps and transported flexibly from farm to farm. As a mobile version of the tried-and-tested Sepofarm, it reliably separates slurry and digestate into a solid and a liquid phase – low-maintenance, compact and ready for immediate use.

The procedure

The underlying process ofthe Sepofarm Mobilis identical to that of the existing Sepofarm Modul. However, there are differences in the design.

TheSepofarm Mobilutilises the base frame of theSepofarm Modul, including a permanently integrated suction pump. Furthermore, in this version of the screw press separator, the control cabinet is permanently fitted. The mobile unit can be supplied with athroughput ofapproximately 10 and 22 m³/hour, depending on the screw motors used. The screen size can be selected from 0.5 to 1.0 mm. When the solid material is used as bedding, the separator’s design features allow adry matter (TS) content of up to 30 per centto be achieved. This means the solid material can be spread as bedding immediately after the separation process. The unit has been successfully in use for many years across a wide range of applications.

TheSepofarm Mobilis supplied ready for connection and is immediately ready for use. The separator is fed via a self-priming eccentric screw pump. The press water is discharged via a free outlet.

The facilities

The unit is mounted on arobust, hot-dip galvanised base frame. All components are integrated into thecompact base frame, ensuring excellent accessibility.

The system’s reliable separation operation is enabled by the control and regulation unit, which, as standard, features a frequency converter that allows individual speed control of the feed pump. Thanks to itscompact design, the set-up time for the separator – from arrival to operation – is only a few minutes. As a safety feature, the pump is fitted as standard with a pressure switch and a leakage monitoring system.

With the standard base frame, the entire unit can be positioned as required using a lifting vehicle.
