Easyfeeder ECO type EBT-ECO - feeding the digester with renewable raw materials

The Easyfeeder ECO solids feeding system, type EBT-ECO, is designed for feeding the digester with renewable raw materials (RRM) such as grass and maize silage or similar biomass, but it also easily conveys more challenging substrates such as all types of manure.
The simple and robust EBT-ECO solids feeder has been designed particularly for small biogas plants. This makes the EBT-ECO a cost-effective option for batch feeding without stockpiling. With 0.1 to 0.3 kW/m³, the EBT-ECO is extremely energy-efficient.
Due to its simple and robust design, the unit is particularly user-friendly and easy to maintain.

Easy handling and operation

A loader feeds the EBT-ECO with small batches that are dosed directly into the digester. The feedstock is transported into the digester by means of the main screw conveyor.
The EBT-ECO can optionally be expanded by three or four hopper segments. Both expansions require the installation of two additional separating screws. The additional hopper segments allow the storage capacity to be increased to 10 or 13 m³.
If the EBT-ECO is intended for feedstocks with high contents of grass or maize silage, the separating screws can be provided with special reinforced drive units.
Depending on how far the digester is elevated above the ground, the EBT-ECO can optionally be equipped with additional supports. They allow the digester to be fed in heights of 3 m or more.
The EBT-ECO has been designed in line with the 2006/42/EC Machinery Directive and is conditionally approved for operation in potentially explosive atmospheres.

Structure of the Easyfeeder ECO EBT-ECO

The basic unit comprises a trough with digester connection. Inside the trough there is a swinging main screw conveyor. A hopper segment is installed above the main device which forms the supply container (hopper U-attachment). Components of the basic unit that come into contact with the main screw conveyor are protected against abrasion by replaceable plastic inserts. The conveyor screws and planetary gears have a particularly sturdy and robust design. Important parts prone to corrosion are made of V2A stainless steel by default. After being upgraded with two separating screws and 3 to 4 hopper segments, the configuration of the EBT-ECO is the same as that of the EBT-ST.

Control of the Easyfeeder ECO EBT-ECO

The unit is usually controlled manually at the feeding times.
Using an automated interval control with time or weight based dosing is also possible. The load control of the main screw and of the optional separating screws is an important component of the control system.

Extension for EBT-ECO

The EBT-ECO can be expanded by the following components: Scales to feed by weight, hopper segments with separating screws to increase the storage capacity to 10 or 13 m³, reinforced separating screws for high grass or maize fibre content
A push-off container can be retrofitted at any time to increase the storage volume.
